Good start!

[Intro]
Starting with that vocals was really oldskool, and I liked that!
Good builds, with cut of freq's and filters. The claps were too soft though.
Kick is too drowned out by that fx at 0:46, make it cleaner or just drop it and replace it with another one.

[Build]
Good melody, only try layering some leads together to get a richer and fuller sound. Replace the high-hat with another one, this one is not suited for this style.

[Main]
I miss reverse claps, a punchier kick and some sweet highhat sizzles.
The same thing for the kick layer it, and mix it.
Where's the main lead? I miss a 2dn lead or atleast something more diffrent as the one in the build! Don't be afraid to let the lead stand in for a while, it's fading way too many times in and out. ;)

[End]
It's nicely building off, great job!
This is more progressive, than I would thought. :P

Has potential, keep it up!

Thanks for the advice and awesome criticsm!
though i made this song with FL demo D:
so i cant save anything

Wow Speechless!

This song from Coldplay is so calm, yet you made it rough and tough!
It's weird no one else tried to make a hardcore track out it, it really has potential for many remixes!

But let's review 'this' track right?

[Intro]
Winding up the clock, and letting it go off all the time combined with the kicks were really nice. Loved the intro kick and bass, it's good you thought about it.
After that we go into the rougher part of the intro with a harder kick/bass and snare rolls to finaly go to the fist qlimax. :)

[Build]
That tiny build, with piano was so needed! It's really nice just the way I like hardcore!, Soft with very rough edges complimented with loud kicks and bass.
Only the transitioning from intro to the build with piano needs a little bit of tweeking, it's still not really 'flowing'.

[Main]
The cutt off frequency from the main melody, made me think of 'SMD just like you (Noisecontrollers mix)'. That deep drowned out sound that will pop up to blast your ears with some serious good stuff. That was REALLY nice, just perfect for the way I like this genre! Leadwise this track is also perfect! Loved it, same as your hard kick and lovely crunchy bass!

[breakdown]
Well done, letting the piano fading in again, and the leads out. And dropping the beat slightly. That transitioning was great. Same as your FX you used. I miss a mystical pad to support the breakdown though. That would make it just wonderfull.

[End?]
For my feeling it needed a outro with kicks, and some weird melo's in between.
Maybe you could've used the clock ticking again, and the wind up/downs from the clock as well.

-Wondering if we could collab on this track? I want to make the transitions right, and outro. And fix some things slightly in the intro, because I want to play this wonderfull track in my car. That would make my day so good playing this track in my car. :P

Anyways, you deserved my 5/5 10/10 + Fav

-Ian

Keep them coming, you're getting better and better!

*Ps you didn't told me about this track either!! :P

CeruleanSoldier responds:

Hahaha I gotta start reviewing your tracks with this kind of information.

I agree with the transition from the intro to the piano. I found it really difficult to transition smoothly so it sounds pretty rough. And a pad would be an awesome idea for the outro! why didn't I think of that Dx
And once again, I found that I made the outro a little too rushed. It could definitely use some tweaking. And the ticks, cranks and alarms are all in the outro, but I couldn't get them to stand over the beat. Currently, the ticks are at the loudest possible volume they can be!

And I'd love for you to fine-tune this track. However, I made it using Sony Acid Music Studio Pro 7.0 which is a completely different program to what you're used to so it could be a little difficult. If you still want all the files, then let me know.

Thanks so much for the thoroughly in-depth review and I'm sorry for not telling you about the track! I swear I meant to!

Good stuff, really fresh!

Loved the new nicely blend in's of effects and transitions.

Intro: kept me hooked, for the piano and harp. You did well blending it into your main lead. :)

Main: Nice beat, loved the reverse kicks and stuff. Although for my oppinion the lead could be an bit harder, or atleast more powerfull. It's probably more personal than it might be a flaw. I am more hooked for harder genres that's why. But you could might layer a fatt saw over it? Same for the bass, it's good at the moment and it's really fat! Just the way I like it, but it needs some tiny reeverb, and boosting.

Nicely done track, really diffrent and fresh.
Keep it up! ;)

DJ-Frosted responds:

Thanks dude! yeah i knida just rushed it at the end :P but i can always add that stuff in later on and re-release XD

Quake!! :D

Haha I love that game!! :D
NOM NOM NOM :P

Intro:
Lovely, just your style. ^^
When the lead pops in it's so pro dude, flawless like an polished diamond!
Kick is Beefy&Pumpy like the way it should, what else you need more? :3

Main:
2dn lead is great, it's awesome you can mix 2 really diffrent melody's in one. This deserves some props for sure. ;) So powerfull!

Breakdown/ending:
Cutt off frequencer is your friend anytime. ^^

Haha great powerfull track once again, I may callz u pro noaw? :3

5/5 10/10

-you should get full time DJ dude. No kiddin. :O

Good nuff :)

Noticed this is the midi you've sent me lol...
I also now see, I fucked it up instead of what you did to it haha.

Loving this kick, but it's an bit too harsh. Just lower the volume of it slightly. It's just because of the vocals can't get trough, and slightly the melody.

Great intro; Letting the kick fade in slowly with snares is maybe so simple, but oh so beautifull! :3 Loving the 2dn lead, qlimaxed really great. 1sth lead was also good for the intro though, but not personally my fav. :P

Can't really say much more, perfect hardcore track bro!
Good job! :D

Superb!

Great progressive starting, the beat it well mixed.
Loved the rain effect, it's really ambient. And I love ambient stuff mixed with progressive trance, makes it really mystical. And letting it flow into an really happy atmosphere worked well.

Goodstuff no flaws;

FairSquare responds:

Thanks :-)

Really good!

Long time since I dropped a review! :O
So here is one ^^:

Well to start off, that intro is really PRO. Loved the delay effects combined with reeverb made it really progressive and epic. Great builds, wind ups/downs, well structured. And Damn perfectly mastered! Even the kick! It's the stock FL kick I hear, and lol you mixed something great to let it sound like this. It's really deep. :D
Nice ambient sounds, pad worked great. It's all placed together at the right time.
Even the beat is so good, it ain't repetitive at all. I can dream away with this track!

Mad improvements lately, I am proud of you! ;)
I am sorry for the dumb review, I am just so astonished. :P

Big 5/5 10/10!

PeckaPrime responds:

WOW, thanks man, lol i appreciate it, im probably gonna buy a new PC before i make some new music tho, cuz it's getting increasingly painfull to make better and complex music on my 8+ years old PC, lol XD.

Anyway thanks for the nice review man, it's the stock FL kick yeah, i used mostly stock samples in this one, except the percussion and a nexus synth or two. I wanted to have some fun and see see if i can make music of comparable quality using just stock stuff.

Thanks for the high praise you have given me, lol :D
I'll see you around.

Not yet to be called hardstyle

This has potential of being a hardstyle track. And I am just saying that because of the snare rolls, and beat. The melody ain't hardstylish, n'either is the lead preset you've used. Also the closed hat tapps actually shouldn't be used for hardstyle either.

Improvement facts:

-New harder kick, with an bass clutched to it.
-Other melody, something more darker/happier. (less notes).
-New lead preset: Use one more piercing layered with an really fat saw.
-Get an Hardstyle beat, build with your snares. (After that use your melody, let it fade in REAL slow). And after you've done that, get your kicks in position after a wind up.

I must say, you did well on the snare rolls, those are hardstyle worthy.
For all the other stuff I just say this is trance or dance IMO.
Follow up my advise and create something nice. ;)

*Didn't wanted to be harsh on your first submission, but I just needed to tell this.

-Ian

PS: You might want to listnen to my track called:'Harder & Louder'
That one is hardstyle, and perhaps you could learn some stuff. :)

ProjectStormForce responds:

Thanks a lot man, will do! I'll try to change everything in the song and add them to the final in small edits. I'll check yours out too ^_^

Surely got some potential for being perfect!

I might be too harsh on my rating but, first listen to what I have to tell to you.

The reason why I won't give you a 10/10 is because it's still in a kind of 'demo' fase. Altough I like the idea you brought to it so far.

Intro:

Quite mainstream, Simple but effective. First time hearing I was shocked, I couldn't believe you made all that! Most likely because, the samples are from angerfist himself? I've seen the youtube video, must say you did well.

Main:

Just the way I like it, banging kicks earpiercing leads above. But also the way angerfist did it though only some slightly changes; Like kicks/snare/melody.
In my oppinion a Remake/Remix could use some more effort, Most people say don't change the original melody. I'd say DO! Only not in the beginning, people have to know this is a remix of the original, and later on you can experiment on changing the melody and, letting it fade in smoothly.

Fade out to end:

Kept it also simple but effective, it's easy to listnem too and keeps you wondering on how it would end. The cutt off frequencer can be your friend anytime. ;)

Extra details:

You did an really good job! Mixing sounds fine, altough to my ears it could've been an tad better. Personally I am eager to remix it myself, any chance to send it to my e-mail? If you would, contact me by PM. We also could collab if you're interested. Nonetheless that an well deserved track, and sure needs some attraction from other Hardcore fans.

SubtleForces responds:

Thanks alot for all the tips ;)

I must admit I really didn't put THAT much effort into it ha ha.

Ye the reason I made the youtube vid was so people couldn't blame me for stealing ;)

I never really did intend on finishing this, but now there is some light at the end of the tunnel ;)

Kick was made with a VST called MicroTonic btw, it's really good for these sort of gabber/hardcore kicks :D

I'm definatly interested in a collab with you, PM u bout that later.

Thanks for the review!!!!

Btw, If you take a look at around 45 seconds on the youtube vid, you can see an accidental preview of the melody changed a bit. Ooops!

Sick stuff!!!

Finally some real hardcore, and no other shit from newbies!
Dude we should keep contact and might collab? I always wanted to create something in this genre. ;) I've got some fairly good experience in hardstyle, and experimented with hardcore already. Full 10/10 5/5!

CeruleanSoldier responds:

Dude! Collab? I'm all for! I'm just about to start a project called "PO!SONOUS" which is a collaboration album with heaps of different artists! You should totally pitch in. Grab some more info from http://tinyurl.com/yfb2h64
I'm a diehard DnB/UK Hardcore/Hardstyle/Hardcore lover and a raver at heart and I'm extremely interested in a collab with you. Especially interested in some hardstyle stuff.
Keep in touch!

Interested in creating Hardstyle lately, with some dance tracks. Also I am in for some more classical stuff like orchestra. Be sure to check some out! ;)
